Driving to the Fair

The best way to get to the State Fair is to take I-25 and exit at the San Mateo or Louisiana exit. From there, follow directions to Expo New Mexico. Right hand turns are only allowed into the State Fair grounds.

Parking

Gate 1 on Central has parking available for $10.00 from Monday through Thursday and $20.00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Gate 8 on Louisiana offers ample parking but fills quickly. Parking for Gate 8 is $10.00 from Monday through Thursday and $20 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Handicap parking is available if you have a handicap placard and the placard holder is in the vehicle. Parking in the Fair West community on the west side of the fairgrounds is prohibited. Handicap parking is best accessible at Gate 1. Gate 8 handicap access is limited with inclined tunnel access into the Fair.

Getting Dropped Off?
Fair-goers can be dropped off or picked up at our special drop off gate off of California and Domingo. This gate will be a special entrance only for those utilizing ride share options.

Bike to the Fair

10:00 AM until 9:00 PM (Sunday - Thursday)
10:00 AM until 10:00 PM (Friday - Saturday)

EXPO New Mexico offers patrons the most convenient and secure options to "bike to the fair."

Bikes will be secured while riders enjoy the fair, and the state fair will man the racks to ensure the security of the bicycles. Patrons can access the Bike Valet, which is located just south of Villa Hispana, via Gate 4 (enter via San Pedro, in between Copper and Lomas).

Designated bike routes along San Pedro further enhance safety options into the fair. Bike riders are issued a ticket in order to retrieve their bicycle upon exiting the fair.

Bike Valet hours mirror the state fair opening and closing schedule and bikes not retrieved at closing will be stored overnight.
