2023 National Anthem Auditions

The New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo is proud to announce the 2023 National Anthem Auditions. We are accepting virtual and in-person auditions.

Eight selected winners will perform the National Anthem for the 2023 New Mexico State Fair concert/rodeo series.

Tuesday, August 7th, 2023 (Virtual Auditions)

Thursday, August 8th, 2023 (In Person)

The performers must be willing and able to perform publicly at the New Mexico State Fair, September 7 – 17, 2023.

Individuals or groups of all ages can audition; performing groups may not have more than 4 members.

The first fifty individuals and/or groups to submit their form will be selected for an audition. Selected individuals and groups will be notified by phone.

A panel of judges selected by the NMSF will judge all eligible entries according to the criteria of overall appeal of vocal performance and accuracy of lyrics and melody.

Each winner will receive two (2) tickets to the New Mexico State Fair in September 7-17, 2023, on the day for which they are performing at the rodeo/concert.

If you are interested in auditioning to sing the National Anthem at a New Mexico State Fair rodeo/concert, please fill out the form below.

You may apply to audition in-person at the NMSF Boxcar Stage at the Fairgrounds on Tuesday, August 8th OR submit a pre-recorded audition video using the space provided below. All pre-recorded video submissions must be received by Monday, August 7th by 11:59pm.
