New Mexico State Fair spectaculars are just that, SPECTACULAR. This year we have some family favorites as well as several brand new attractions that are sure to thrill and excite. Though some spectaculars can be found in specific areas of the fairgrounds; be sure to keep an eye out as we have several ROAMING spectaculars as well.

The Strolling Piano

A revolutionary concept in the world of musical entertainment, combining the classic and sophisticated nature of a pianist/singer with the flexibility of a strolling musician. The Strolling Piano entertains audiences of all ages coast to coast with the most captivating grounds attraction. A vocal pianist drives around grounds while jamming out.!

Mind Works!
MindWorks! is a 6,000 square foot exhilarating attraction featuring a collection of giant classic games, construction zone and bubble arena, puzzles and brain teasers, as well as toddler area that will tease and challenge minds of all ages. Many of the display in this fun and interactive exhibit are STEM/STEM-based and involve critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork.

Conjurer Fortune Machine

A classic fortune machine brought to life. This Conjurer delivers charming and witty fortunes to any guests willing to cross his path.

GASCAR Animal Races

You've seen and loved the famous, fan-favorite pig races, so get ready for the next big thing: GASCAR! GASCAR Crazy Animal Races is an exciting show where different animals race to be number one! These crazy animals line up to race to the finish for their favorite treat a bowl of animal crackers!

The Great American Duck Races
The Great American Duck Race features live mallard ducks raced on a water track. You may be one of the lucky ones chosen to hold and release one of the world’s fastest mallards into it's racing lane. Prizes are awarded to all winners. These ducks have been featured on the Tonight Show, Wall Street Journal and People Magazine. It will definitely quack you up! “You can’t watch a duck race without smiling.”

Jason D'Vaude - The Circus Man
Dangerous objects! Perilous stunts! Feats of strength and balance! Jason D’Vaude, self-taught one-man multiple-adjectived circus sensation, brings his comedic juggling, fire, and clowning shows to audiences around the world, delighting them with his charming humor and distinct but refined awkwardness. After seeing Jason juggle sharp objects, climb up precariously-balanced objects, ride an extra-tall unicycle, or manipulate fire like a master, audiences are left speechless except to say “that was AWESOME!”

Science Girl's Lab
Melissa Ober is New Mexico’s own “Science Girl” as she brings the Lab to you in several on-stage and interactive science experiences that you will not forget. Science Girl’s Lab will bring inspiration and excitement for boys and girls alike as we explore the wonders of science. Do not be surprised if you see flying objects or bubbling science brews as you become a part of each show! Melissa’s humor and unique style has audiences laughing while learning to "Go Be Awesome."

Hot Glass Academy
Hot Glass Academy performs glassblowing at 2000 degrees to inspire creativity to crowds everywhere! Glass artists use molten glass to create handmade unique artworks. The glass is blown, shaped, cut, colored, and cooled in a spectacular show

Salsa Steel Drum Band

This popular steel drum band plays uplifting music with heavy groove. Salsa Steel performs across the United States and Mexico including popular venues like Disneyland, Legoland, The Tijuana Cultural Center, Fairs, Expos, Festivals and college campuses. The band will be performing Island, Reggae, Calypso, Latin, and Classic Rock music at the Expo this year. Come move to the sounds of Salsa Steel!

Stilt Circus
Stilt Circus is a 3-time award-winning company. Our world-class performers have delighted audiences on multiple continents with their surreal blend of dazzling crowd-interaction and feats of exceedingly Tall skills for over 2 decades. Stilt Circus looks forward to returning to the 2021 New Mexico State Fair and will be gliding through the fairgrounds with festive Stilt Artistry finding both the young and young-at-heart; Star and Rich will be presenting a different handcrafted costume/character each day of the fair, so come find us and get your picture taken with your Tall friends of Stilt Circus! We are excited to see you all!

Southwest Dairy Farmers

Trained instructors from the dairy industry will demonstrate how to milk a cow, describe how milks goes from the farm to the fridge, and then answers questions from the audience. This is an innovative program that brings the dairy experience directly to audiences of all ages!

Sea Lion Splash
Educational and entertaining sea lion show. You will learn about the differences between seals and sea lions and be amazed at what an amazing animal a sea lion is.

Chef Landry Comedy Show
Chef Landry’s dinner shows provide audiences an engaging storytelling experience alongside traditional Cajun-style cuisine and give organizers a unique offering for fairs and fundraisers.

Petting Farm
The Petting Farm is a unique attraction allowing animal lovers to interact with the animals in a barrier-free pen. Fairgoers get an up close and personal experience with cute and cuddly animals of all kinds. Feel free to touch and see what a truly unique hands on animal exhibit the petting zoo really is.

Street Drum Corps

World Famous “Street Drum Corp” will be drumming up high energy acts daily at the 2019 NM State Fair. This unique industrial percussion act will bang on anything to create rhythm and music to get you moving to the beat of “their own” drum! This group has toured the world and has taken on honorary members such as Motley Crue's Tommy Lee, Actor Jeremy Piven, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith, and Guns N Roses' Matt Sorum.

Out at the Fair
Out at the Fair® (OATF®) is the official LGBTQ+ family-friendly festival of the Fair industry!

Amazon Wonders Photo Booth
Travel to Amazon without having to leave New Mexico. The Amazon Wonders Photo Booth offers fair-goers a unique chance to take photos with exotic animals from the furthest reaches of the Amazon Rain Forest.

Lorikeets Encounter
Lorikeets Encounter is a Fun-filled experience Where anyone can enjoy and learn about these beautiful gentle birds. Guest will experience a unique encounter as they hold a mini cup of nectar specially formulated for lorikeets

Pony Rides
Children from one year old and up to 90 pounds will be able to come ride their favorite pony in this one-of-a-kind living carousel pony ride!

Sir Loin Mechanical Bull
Channel your inner cowboy or cowgirl to try and last 8 seconds on the roughest, toughest, rankest bull at the New Mexico State Fair: Sir Loin! Shoot your shot and earn your spurs at one of the most popular spectaculars at the Fair, year after year!

Ax Throw Zone, Archery, Giant Horse Shoes

There is just something empowering about holding an ax, taking aim, and hitting your target. A life skill that for some requires patience, but in the end…pays off every time. This sport is built for those who have confidence, need confidence, or just like flinging sharp objects at an unrelenting target.

State Fair Karaoke Competition
The New Mexico State Fair is proud to host the semi-finals and finals of the 3rd largest Karaoke contest in the nation. Singers, both young and old, sing their hearts out to earn a spot in the New Mexico State Fair Karaoke competition. Open Karaoke is happens every day at 5:00 pm.
