2026 National Anthem Auditions

The New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo is proud to announce the 2026 National Anthem Auditions. We are accepting virtual and in-person auditions.

Eight selected winners will perform the National Anthem for the 2026 New Mexico State Fair concert/rodeo series.

Monday, August 24th: ALL Application & Virtual Auditions Deadline

Wednesday, August 26th: In-Person Audition Day @ African American Pavilion Auditions will be held 6:00pm - 8:00pm

The performers must be willing and able to perform publicly at the New Mexico State Fair, September 10 – 20, 2026.

Individuals or groups of all ages can audition; performing groups may not have more than 4 members. In-Person Audition and Event Performances - Expo will provide one microphone on one boom stand.

A panel of judges selected by the New Mexico State Fair will review all eligible entries according to the following criteria: Overall Appeal of Performance, Accuracy of Lyrics, and Accuracy of Melody.

Each winner will receive two (2) tickets to the New Mexico State Fair on September 10-20, 2026, on the day for which they are performing at the rodeo/concert.

If you are interested in auditioning to sing the National Anthem at a New Mexico State Fair rodeo/concert, please fill out the form below.

You may apply to audition in person at the NMSF African American Performing Arts Center at the Fairgrounds on Wednesday, August 26th from 6:00pm-8:00pm, OR submit a pre-recorded audition video using the space provided below. All pre-recorded video submissions must be received by August 24th at 11:59 pm.
