For many of New Mexico’s children, the School Days Program offers them their only opportunity to attend the State Fair; where they can experience a taste of New Mexico and all its culture in a safe and nurturing environment. From an educational standpoint, the State Fair is a unique creature that offers a veritable plethora of learning opportunities for New Mexico students of all ages and levels. Indeed, the State Fair is New Mexico’s Largest Classroom, featuring New Mexico history, science and technology, arts and culture, livestock and agriculture. Add to that the nearly endless array of street concerts, magicians, jugglers, face painters, demonstrators, and other performers, and you’ve got more than enough learning and fun to map out a well-rounded day for your entire class.
